General description of the
Ouray Ice Park Area
Below are links to the specific walls of the area

Area Name:
Ouray Ice Park
Updated By: Two Bears on 2/6/2003
Getting There:
Heading south out of Ouray the road turns west for a couple hundred feet then hits a 90. Take the first right,Your There! A short 70 second drive (at 25 mph) from Ouray Mountain Sports
Current Conditions:
THE PARK OPENED DEC. 13 with the best ice ever at this time. All climbs are in great condition. The new 18 climbs are being well received. Come give them a try.South Park very wet and sloppy on 2/1/03. Some ice fall. On Sun. 2/2/03 pm a nice storm blew in and temps dropped, snow fell and climbing in the Lower Gorge and Schoolroom became nice, cold and wonderfully plastic again. Safe too.
Other Comments:
The park is seeing increased traffic each year and so we have opened two new areas The New Funtier and South Park.Check them out on your next trip to Ouray. We are adding 18 new climbs this year. 12 in The New Funtier and 6 more in South Park. It is looking good this year. Lots of early season snow. We started running water yesterday on Oct. 28. Pray for cold.
