General description of the
Camp Bird Mine Road Area
Below are links to the specific walls of the area

Area Name:
Camp Bird Mine Road
Updated By: neal on 12/3/2002
Getting There:
Drive up the road from the upper bridge of the Ice Park. At the Senator Falls gate continue on foot for a mile or so. Most climbs in the Skylight area are about a 15 or 20 minute walk.
Current Conditions:
As of Dec. 3rd, the climbs in the Skylight area are being climbed with all in pretty good shape. The Skylight itself is not as big as last year yet, but is good. Choppo's, Slippery When Wet, Slip Sliding Away are all good and in condition. Killer Pillar is not in yet. Closest place to climb to Ouray before park opens Dec. 13th. The Ribbon and Birdbrain Blvd. are seeing ascents now as well.
Other Comments:
Lots of good stuff here. Look south across the canyon for The Ribbon and Bird Brain. The next most popular area to climb around Ouray other than the Ice Park due to number of climbs and short approach.
